THE NEWEST BALLERINA
I explored the transformation of the ballerina model from the past to the present. Previously characterized by tall, thin, blonde Russians, creating unrealistic standards and declining self-confidence, today's ballet embraces inclusion and diversity. Regardless of weight, gender, height or skin color, people can find confidence and joy in dance. Using flowers as a metaphor, the model symbolizes the growth of a woman and the confidence that blossoms through dance.
